Ana is a Registered Nurse and Credentialled Diabetes Educator with the Australian Diabetes Association (ADEA) currently accepting New Referrals.

Ana provides personalised support to help you manage your diabetes and achieve better health outcomes. Whether you’ve recently been diagnosed with diabetes or pre-diabetes, or have been living with diabetes for many years, Ana is here to support you every step of the way and help you feel confident in managing your health.

Ana specialises in supporting people with Type 2 diabetes and is also happy to hear from people living with Type 1 diabetes or other forms of diabetes.

Ana also supports people with Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS) providing education and practical support to help you better understand the condition and its impact on your health.

Ana can support you with:

• Understanding your blood test results and working towards a healthier HbA1c.
• Understanding your medications and treatment options, including how they work and what to expect.
• Learning about blood glucose monitoring and diabetes technologies, including Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs).
• Understanding blood glucose results and using your results to make informed decisions about your care.
• Learn how to prevent and managing diabetes-related conditions.
• Recognising and managing hypoglycaemia (Low blood sugar) and hyperglycaemia (high blood sugar).
• Developing a personalised sick-day management plan so you know what to do when you are unwell.
• Setting realistic and achievable goals that work with your lifestyle.
• Building confidence and finding practical ways to manage diabetes in everyday life.
• Exploring practical strategies for making healthy changes that are realistic and sustainable.
• Preparing for appointments and developing the confidence to ask questions and be actively involved in your care.

Ana’s goal is helping each person feel heard, understood and empowered in their diabetes journey.
