Dr Julia Lim is a Consultant Neurologist with a subspecialty interest in epilepsy, seizures, blackouts and other unexplained episodes. She completed her physician training in Geelong before undertaking a two-year clinical fellowship in epilepsy in Melbourne. She is also an Australian and New Zealand Association of Neurologists (ANZAN) certified encephalographer, with expertise in the interpretation and clinical application of EEG. Having returned to live and practise in Geelong, Julia is passionate about providing high-quality specialist neurological care closer to home for patients across Geelong and South West Victoria. She is the founder of Geelong EEG Service, established in partnership with Banksia Medical Centre to improve local access to specialist EEG services and provide more integrated assessment and management for people with epilepsy and suspected seizure disorders.

Alongside epilepsy, Julia has a special interest in migraine and headache disorders. She provides comprehensive migraine assessment and management, including advanced injectable therapies such as botulinum toxin treatment for chronic migraine. Julia takes a careful and individualised approach to each patient, recognising that neurological symptoms can be complex and that clear explanations, thorough investigation and continuity of care are important in helping patients understand and manage their condition.

Julia is currently accepting GP referrals for patients aged 16 years and above. She does not accept TAC or WorkCover referrals.
