What Is LEGO®-Based Therapy?

LEGO®-Based Therapy is a structured, facilitator-led therapeutic approach that uses collaborative LEGO® building activities to support communication, problem-solving, and executive functioning. Originally developed to support social communication skills, the approach has since been adapted for broader cognitive and functional rehabilitation goals.

At Banksia Medical Centre, LEGO®-Based Therapy is delivered using principles drawn from LEGO® Serious Play (LSP) methodology, within a health-led, trauma informed framework.
