We welcome Dan Andrews announcement regarding the use of mask as mandatory in hot spots in Melbourne. Residents in Metropolitan Melbourne and the Mitchell Shire will be required to wear face coverings in public from Wed night or risk a fine, as Victoria extends its state of emergency by another four weeks.

Mask wearing is only one of the many measures we should employ to reduce the spread of infection. In fact, physical distance is a much stronger measure if done properly. Ideally, a combination of both is used – Mask and physical distancing.
