Building Recovery through Innovative, Cognitive, Knowledge Sharing (BRICKS)

At Banksia Medical Centre, we are pioneering an innovative LEGO®-Based Therapy program designed to support adults experiencing cognitive dysfunction, fatigue, or emotional dysregulation due to Long COVID Syndrome. Rooted in LEGO® Serious Play (LSP) Methodology, this structured yet interactive therapy fosters cognitive recovery, emotional resilience, and social engagement in a psychologically safe environment.

Program Objectives

Our BRICKS Therapy Program is designed to:

Improve memory, attention, and executive function through engaging LEGO-based activities.

Encourage self-expression, reduce stress, and boost confidence in a creative, trauma-informed setting.

Provide a peer-driven group setting where participants connect, share experiences, and support one another.

Who Can Benefit?

The current program is tailored for adults (18+) experiencing cognitive challenges due to Long COVID Syndrome (Post-Acute Sequelae of COVID-19).

No referral required
Participants can self-enroll.

Suitability questionnaire ensures alignment with personal goals and capabilities.

Creating a psychologically safe space for collaboration and shared experiences.

Program Structure & Sessions

Duration

2-hour sessions (including breaks)
over a 5-month period

Schedule

Once per month, Saturday mornings

Commitment

5 sessions (including Cognitive and Functional Assessments, and mandatory first and last sessions)
